Attending the NANN or FANNP conference this October? A few things you should know before you go...

If you are a NCC-certified nurse or nurse practitioner and plan to attend the Annual NANN Educational Conference or FANNP's National NNP Symposium this October, there are a few things that you should know before you go....

NANN and FANNP sessions have been reviewed and coded for maintenance by NCC.  The NCC CE specialty codes are available in the conference materials. These coded sessions, will help you plan for your CE needs and simplify updating your NCC maintenance application. To submit CE earned at these conferences, simply enter the session title, hours earned and assigned specialty code for each session.

Check your education plan!  It will help you decide what sessions are best suited for your professional development. Your education plan shows what specialty content needs CE hours in order to maintain your NCC certification. Only CE that is earned in the areas defined by your education plan can be used for NCC maintenance.

If you don't have an education plan - take your assessment. A continuing competency assessment is needed for each NCC maintenance cycle.  The assessment generates your educational plan and defines the CE needed for your current maintenance cycle. Only CE earned after the assessment can be used to maintain.
