Attending the NPWH conference? A few things you should know before you go...

Aug 24, 2015

If you are a NCC-certified women's health care nurse practitioner and plan to attend the 18th Annual NPWH Women's Healthcare Conference in October, here are a few things that you should know before you go....

Check your education plan!  It will help you decide what sessions are best suited for your professional development. And it shows what specialty content needs CE hours in order to maintain your NCC certification. Only CE that is earned in the areas defined by your education plan can be used for NCC maintenance.

If you don't have an education plan - take your assessment. A continuing competency assessment is needed for each NCC maintenance cycle.  It provides the educational plan for the continuing education that must be earned during that cycle. Only CE earned after the assessment can be used to maintain.

To submit CE earned at the NPWH conference, simply enter the title, hours earned and the appropriate specialty code for each session into your maintenance application.
