RNC-E - Emeritus Status
NCC announces Emeritus RNC status for those who have completed
Their nursing careers but want to stay connected!
Over the years, many NCC-certified nurses who have retired have asked NCC for a way to continue to be recognized for the accomplishments they made during the active part of their nursing careers. Now NCC has developed a program to do just that: the new RNC-E credential.
Why RNC-E?
The RNC-E credential provides special recognition to the RNC who has contributed to the nursing profession and the obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal nursing specialty through certification.
Who's eligible?
- Any NCC-certified nurse who is permanently retired from active employment in nursing.
- Those who have retired but continue to volunteer their nursing skills are eligible to apply.
- If a nurse who applied for RNC-E status returns to active nursing, they can only regain RNC status through successful re-examination. Current eligibility criteria must be met.
- This category is designed for those who have retired from nursing and never intend to use their certification professionally again.
What are the benefits of RNC-E status?
How much does it cost?
