If you are planning to attend ANN this September, take a moment to connect with NCC.

Jul 29, 2016

NCC's Executive Director, Robin L. Bissinger, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, FAAN will be attending both the 19th National Mother Baby Nurses Conference and the 16th National Neonatal Nurses Conference by the Academy of Neonatal Nursing.  Robin will be available to meet with individuals who wish to discuss certification, professional practice and other topics of interest. Please look for her in the ANN Lounge.

A few more things that you should know before you go . . .

ANN sessions have been reviewed and coded for maintenance by NCC.  The NCC CE specialty codes are published in the conference brochure, the registration form and available on the conference website. These coded sessions, will help you plan for your CE needs and simplify updating your NCC maintenance application. Simply enter the session title, hours earned and assigned specialty code for each session.

Check your education plan!  It will help you decide what sessions are best suited for your professional development. Your education plan shows what specialty content areas needs CE hours in order to maintain your NCC certification. Only CE that is earned in the areas defined by your education plan can be used for NCC maintenance.

If you don't have an education plan - take your assessment. A continuing competency assessment is needed for each NCC maintenance cycle.  The assessment generates your educational plan and defines the CE needed for your current maintenance cycle. Only CE earned after the assessment can be used to maintain.
