NCC President provides testimony to GA Senate on the healthcare role of APRNs

The SR 188 “Barriers to Georgians’ Accessing Adequate Healthcare” Study Committee takes an in-depth look at physician shortage data and explores how APRNs could be an important part of the solution.

In the 2017 Legislative session, the Georgia Senate passed SR 188, creating a study committee on barriers to Georgians’ access to adequate healthcare.  During the second committee meeting in Augusta GA, Dr. Suzanne Staebler, NCC President, provided testimony before the committee discussing the APRN Consensus Model, LACE and APRN Education Standards, followed by Dr. Carolyn Clevenger (Past President of GAPNA), discussing the current barriers to the care of older adults in GA.
