Do you have a Stage 2 Education Plan? If your maintenance is due 2014 or later-you probably need one
Nov 28, 2013
If you hold a certification in one of the following:
Inpatient Obstetric Nursing
Low Risk Neonatal Nursing
Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Maternal Newborn Nursing
Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner
And your certification maintenance is due in:
2016 or later
Then you MUST have a Stage 2 Education Plan - BEFORE earning any CE to apply to your maintenance.
For individuals meeting the above criteria, maintenance requirements are determined by a stage 2 specialty assessment. The specialty assessment creates a personalized Stage 2 Education Plan that directs the continuing education activities needed in order to maintain a NCC certification. Only CE earned AFTER the stage 2 specialty assessment has been completed AND in the specific areas defined by the personalized Stage 2 Education Plan can be used towards NCC maintenance.
To Develop your Stage 2 Education Plan:
1) Login to your personal NCCwebsite.org account.
2) Click "Take Assessment" in the green box.
3) Correct assessment is assigned by website.
4) Stage 2 Education Plan is generated by your completed assessment.
Sign in to your NCCwebsite.org account and View Your Education Plan(s) to review your personalized CE requirements.
