Health Care Professionals who care for the “Smallest and the Sickest” August 1, 2019

NCC created two new subspecialty certifications for neonatal professionals who care for extremely vulnerable neonates.

Care of the Extremely Low Birth Weight Neonate (C-ELBW)
The C-ELBW Subspecialty Certification is to provide a competency-based examination that tests specialty knowledge and the application of that knowledge for licensed health care professionals, who provide care to acutely and critical ill extremely low birth weight neonates and their families within an intensive care environment to improve overall outcomes.

If you are currently licensed in the U.S. or Canada as a physician, registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse (NNP, CNS), neonatal therapists (PT, OT,SLP), neonatal dietitians, pharm-D or respiratory therapist be the first to register and take the exam.  Registration opens September 1, 2019 and will only be open for 1 month.  All those who registered will have 90 days to take the exam.  After that time NCC will score the exam and provide pass/fails to the first group of takers before the exam is opened to everyone.  Don't miss this opportunity.

Neonatal Neuro-Intensive Care (C-NNIC)
The C-NNIC Subspecialty Certification is to provide a competency-based examination that tests specialty knowledge and the application of that knowledge for licensed health care professionals, who provide neurological care to at-risk or impaired neonates within an intensive care environment to improve overall outcomes.
