Spotlight on NCC’s Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification

The
Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB®) certification is for obstetrical nurses who provide care to hospitalized pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn periods. Candidates can describe a comprehensive plan for individualized nursing care, including diagnostic, therapeutic and patient educational components.
This certification demonstrates the specialty knowledge of obstetrical nurses in fetal assessment, pregnancy complications, labor and birth, recovery, postpartum and newborn care, primarily focusing on care of the pregnant women after 20 weeks of gestation through discharge.
